„Parlamentarismus in der Bewährung“: neues Werk über den Deutschen Bundestag
Die Historikerin Marie-Luise Recker, die derzeit Vorsitzende der Kommission für Geschichte des Parlamentarismus und der politischen Parteien (KGParl) ist, hat bereits mehrere grundlegende Werke rund um den Deutschen Bundestag veröffentlicht. Unter der Überschrift „Parlamentarismus in der Bewährung“ ist im Oktober 2021 ein neues Werk von ihr erschienen, das die Arbeit des Bundestages von 1949 bis 2020 in den Blick nimmt. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Binnenstruktur des Parlaments, also die unterschiedlichen Arbeitsbereiche Plenum, Fraktionen und Ausschüsse, darüber hinaus aber auch das Selbstverständnis der Abgeordneten, Überlegungen bezüglich Wahlrechtsfragen, Wahlkämpfe und Wahlergebnisse sowie grundsätzliche Erörterungen im Kontext von „Repräsentation und Öffentlichkeit“.
