Online-Panel: die USA vor den Zwischenwahlen
Am 8. November 2022 finden in den Vereinigten Staaten die Zwischenwahlen zum Kongress statt. Dabei stehen alle 435 Sitze des Repräsentantenhauses und 35 der 100 Senatssitze zur Neubesetzung an. Erfahrungsgemäß verliert die Partei des amtierenden Präsidenten in solchen Zwischenwahlen regelmäßig an Mandaten. Die Umfragen hielten zuletzt unterschiedliche Ergebnisse für Demokraten und Republikaner bereit. Das Ergebnis der Wahlen dürfte auch mit darüber entscheiden, über welchen politischen Handlungsspielraum Präsident Joe Biden in den nächsten beiden Jahren verfügen wird. Kurz vor der Wahl bietet die Atlantische Akademie Rheinland-Pfalz am 2. November 2022 ein Online-Panel mit prominenter Besetzung an, um über die Wahlen zu diskutieren.
