Bei der BpB neu erschienen: „Politik in stürmischer Zeit“
Pünktlich zum Beginn der vorlesungsfreien Zeit an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) wartet die Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (BpB) mit neuer Lektüre auf: Unter dem Titel „Politik in stürmischer Zeit“ wurde dort soeben ein Werk der Politikwissenschaftler Frank Decker, Eckhardt Jesse und Roland Sturm veröffentlicht, von dem es auf der Internetseite der BpB heißt: „Die Rede von der Krise der Demokratie ist weit verbreitet. Tatsächlich lässt sich seit Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts weltweit ein Rückgang der Zahl der Demokratien sowie ein Qualitätsverlust etablierter demokratischer Systeme beobachten. Auch wenn die Demokratie in Deutschland stabil ist, stehen wir hierzulande ebenfalls vor großen Problemen, die sich krisenhaft zuspitzen könnten.“
Weiter heißt es dort: Die Autoren „bilanzieren, wie sich die deutsche Demokratie in den vergangenen Jahren entwickelt hat, und erörtern zentrale politische Fragen der Gegenwart – etwa Veränderungen im Parteien- und Koalitionsgefüge, neue Formen der politischen Partizipation sowie den Wandel der Medienlandschaft. Die Autoren bieten eine vielschichtige Analyse der hiesigen politischen Situation, werfen Schlaglichter auf Kontroversen und diskutieren Reformmöglichkeiten.“
