Podiumsgespräch der Deutsch-Israelischen Gesellschaft in Halle
Anlässlich des 75. Jubiläums der Staatsgründung Israels lädt die Deutsch-Israelische Gesellschaft e. V. (DIG) zu einer Veranstaltung am Donnerstag, den 13. Juli 2023 um 18:30 Uhr (Einlass: 18:00 Uhr) unter der Überschrift „Die Sicherheit Israels ist deutsche Staatsräson – Sicherheitskooperationen zwischen Israel und Deutschland“ in das Dorint Hotel Charlottenhof (Dorotheenstr. 12, 06108 Halle/Saale) ein.
Aktuelle Aspekte der Entwicklung der Sicherheitskooperation zwischen Israel und Deutschland, wie beispielsweise gemeinsame militärische Übungen der Israeli Air Force und der deutschen Luftwaffe oder der Ankauf israelischer militärischer Abwehrtechnik durch die Bundeswehr, werden an diesem Abend im Fokus stehen.
Die Begrüßung erfolgt durch Philipp Körner, den Vorsitzenden der DIG Arbeitsgemeinschaft Halle-Umland, Volker Beck, den Präsidenten der DIG, sowie Dr. Reiner Haseloff, Ministerpräsident des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt (angefragt).
Am anschließenden Podiumsgespräch nehmen Dr. Marcus Faber, MdB und Mitglied des Verteidigungsausschusses des Deutschen Bundestags sowie Vizepräsident der DIG, Prof. Dr. Carlo Masala, Professor für internationale Politik an der Universität der Bundeswehr München, Arye Sharuz Shalicar, Schriftsteller, Politologe und ehemaliger israelischer Armeesprecher sowie eine Repräsentantin der Botschaft Israels in Deutschland teil. Moderiert wird das Gespräch von Kerstin Müller, Staatsministerin a.D. und Senior Associate Fellow der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik (DGAP).
