Karamba Diaby MdB spricht über seinen Abschied vom Deutschen Bundestag
Dr. Karamba Diaby absolviert derzeit seine dritte Legislaturperiode im Deutschen Bundestag. Bei der Bundestagswahl 2021 gelang es ihm, den Wahlkreis Halle (Saale) und Umgebung direkt zu gewinnen. Zuvor war er bereits im Halleschen Stadtrat sowie für ein Landesministerium in Magdeburg beruflich tätig. In unseren Lehrveranstaltungen war Herr Diaby Semester für Semester ein willkommener Gast. In zahlreichen Auftritten berichtete er über seine Arbeit in Halle und Berlin, gab Einblicke in den parlamentarischen Arbeitsalltag und diskutierte mit den Studierenden über aktuelle politische und politikwissenschaftliche Fragen. Ein Thema war dabei stets, wie er mit Anfeindungen und Angriffen umgeht. So wurde vor einigen Jahren auf sein Wahlkreisbüro geschossen bzw. ein Brandsatz gezündet. Vor wenigen Wochen hat Karamba Diaby angekündigt, bei der Bundestagswahl im kommenden Jahr nicht erneut antreten zu wollen.
