TV-Tipp (28): „Die zerrissenen Staaten von Amerika“
In knapp zwei Wochen entscheidet sich die amerikanische Präsidentschaftswahl zwischen Präsident Barack Obama und seinem Herausforderer Mitt Romney. Allen aktuellen Umfragen zufolge liefern sich die beiden Kandidaten ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen. Parallel dazu haben sich in den letzten Jahren die Vereinigten Staaten (partei)politisch polarisiert; Begriffe wie die „fifty-fifty-nation“ oder das „blaue und rote Amerika“ machen die Runde. Aus diesem Anlass zeigt die ARD heute abend eine Dokumentation über die derzeitige politische Lage der Vereinigten Staaten am Vorabend der Wahlentscheidung am 6. November 2012.
