„21.0“ von Andreas Rödder jetzt bei der BpB kostengünstig erhältlich
Vor einiger Zeit wurde auf diesen Seiten auf das Buch „21.0“ des Historikers Andreas Rödder hingewiesen. Zufällig habe ich das Buch soeben in einer preisgünstigen Ausgabe auf den Seiten der Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung wiederentdeckt – und zwar nicht für den Buchhandelspreis von 24,95 Euro, sondern für gerade einmal 4,50 Euro (plus Versandkosten). Ich selbst bin mit der Lektüre noch nicht weit gekommen, habe aber immer wieder mal an verschiedenen Stellen in das Buch hineingelesen. Ich halte es für sehr spannend und aufschlussreich argumentiert, gerade indem Rödder versucht, längerfristige Entwicklungslinien sowie zentrale Bestimmungsfaktoren der letzten Jahrzehnte des 20. Jahrhunderts ins Heute fortzuschreiben. Auf der Internetseite des Verlages heißt es zum Buch: „21.0 ist ein historischer Crashkurs durch die Grundprobleme der Gegenwart: Wie sind sie entstanden und woher kommen sie? Was ist wirklich neu – und was sind die Muster, die wir aus der Geschichte kennen? Was sind die wichtigsten Entwicklungen der Gegenwart, und welche Richtungen zeichnen sich für die Zukunft ab? Andreas Rödder zieht die großen Linien und eröffnet immer wieder überraschende Perspektiven auf Deutschland im beschleunigten Wandel der Welt. Wer die Gegenwart verstehen will, sollte diese Geschichte gelesen haben.“
