Auf der Titelseite ist zwar von der „Bundestagswahl 2018“ die Rede, aber gemeint ist natürlich die Wahl aus dem September 2017: die soeben neu erschienene Ausgabe 2/2018 der in Halle (Saale) beheimateten Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen beschäftigt sich aktuell mit den Ergebnissen dieser Bundestagswahl. So thematisiert ein umfangreicher Aufsatz den Wahlkampf und die konkreten Wahlergebnisse der Bundestagswahl. Ein anderer Aufsatz geht auf die langwierige Regierungsbildung nach der Wahl ein. Im Teil „Dokumentation und Analysen“ finden sich eine sozio-ökonomische Untersuchung des Wahlergebnisses der AfD, die repräsentative Wahlstatistik aus dem Vorjahr, ein Bericht über die Partei der Freien Wähler, eine Darstellung der jüngsten Veränderungen im bundesdeutschen Parteiensystem sowie eine Analyse der modernen Mitgliederpartei.
