Vor wenigen Tagen ist die neue Ausgabe der Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen (Heft 4/2018) erschienen. Anlässlich des 65. Geburtstags der Chefredakteurin Prof. Suzanne S. Schüttemeyer dreht sich in diesem Heft alles um das Thema Parlamentarismusforschung – ein „State-of-the-Art“-Heft zum Thema sozusagen. Der Doyen der deutschen Parlamentarismusforschung, Gerhard Loewenberg, schreibt zum Beispiel über „The Bundestag in the 21st century“, der frühere Direktor beim Deutschen Bundestag, Wolfgang Zeh, macht sich Gedanken über die ideale Größe eines Parlaments, Roland Sturm beschreibt die Reformresistenz zweiter Kammern, und Danny Schindler versucht, das Einflusspotential von Fraktionsvorsitzenden auszuloten. Sven Siefken beschreibt darüber hinaus die Handlungsmöglichkeiten der Fachausschüsse im Bundestag, der frühere Justizminister Edzard Schmidt-Jortzig beschäftigt sich mit dem digitalisierten Parlamentarismus im Zeitalter neuer Medien, und Joachim Krause eröffnet Perspektiven für die Analyse und Gestaltung parlamentarischer Kontrolle. Oscar W. Gabriel untersucht die Rolle des Vertrauens in demokratische Institutionen, Oskar Niedermayer thematisiert die Arbeit der AfD in Bundestag und den Landesparlamenten gleichermaßen, und der frühere Bundestagspräsident Norbert Lammert ergänzt „Zehn Bemerkungen“ zur bundesdeutschen Parteiendemokratie. Franziska Carstensen, Alexander Kühne und Marcus Wittig schließlich haben für diese Jubiläumsausgabe alle bisherigen Ausgaben der ZParl ausgewertet und interessante Befunde zu inhaltlichen Schwerpunkten sowie Themenkarrieren der Zeitschrift im Wandel der Zeit zusammengetragen. Die Beiträge des Heftes (von denen hier bei weitem nicht alle erwähnt werden konnten) ist über das interne Netz der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) online frei verfügbar.
