Zehn Jahre „Arabischer Frühling“
Vor knapp zehn Jahren begann mit der Selbstverbrennung des tunesischen Gemüsehändlers Mohamed Bouazizi die so genannte „Arabellion“ bzw. der „Arabische Frühling“. Innerhalb weniger Wochen kam es zu landesweiten Massenunruhen im Land, die in den nächsten Monaten auf etliche Staaten in Nordafrika und dem Nahen Osten übergriffen. In vielen Haus- und Abschlussarbeiten ist dieses Thema, gerade im Bereich der politikwissenschaftlichen Transformationsforschung, in den vergangenen Jahren auch bei uns am Institut aufgegriffen worden.
