20 Jahre nach 9/11
Vermutlich jeder, der den 11. September 2001 als Jugendliche/r oder Erwachsene/r erlebt hat, kann sich bis heute daran erinnern, wo er sich an diesem Tag befand, als die Nachricht(en) von den Terroranschlägen in New York und Washington (sowie in Shanksville/Pennsylvania) die Runde machte(n). Die Auswirkungen der damaligen Ereignisse zeigen sich auf mannigfache Art und Weise bis heute. Am 11. September 2021 jährt sich dieses als Chiffre ins kollektive Gedächtnis eingebrannte Datum zum 20. Mal. Peter Mücke hat für den Deutschlandfunk in einer Art Minutenprotokoll („Ein Tag, der die Welt verändert hat“) die damaligen Ereignisse zusammenfasst und lässt sie für die Zuhörer/innen (bzw. Leser/innen) erneut Revue passieren. Abzurufen ist das Feature hier. Die Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (BpB) hat vor einigen Wochen eine ganze Ausgabe der Zeitschrift „Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte“ dem Thema 9/11 gewidmet (hier). Der Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg hat anlässlich des Jahrestags eine ganze Serie mit dem Titel „Zwei Türme“ produziert, dessen erster Teil in der ARD-Mediathek zu sehen ist. Ein anderes filmisches Format findet sich unter dem Titel „Wendepunkt: 9/11 und der Krieg gegen den Terror“ bei Netflix. Und Gerrit Bartels fragt im Berliner Tagesspiegel danach, wie die Literatur mit dem Thema 9/11 umgegangen ist.
