Aktuelle Herausforderungen im Wahlkampf: Gespräch mit der Historikerin Hedwig Richter
Demokratien, darunter die bundesdeutsche, leben von Debatten, ja auch von Streit. Aber nicht nur einmal hat und hatte man im laufenden Bundestagswahlkampf den Eindruck, dass bestimmte Grenzen überschritten worden sind (und da muss man nicht erst auf eine unlängst publik gewordene, unsägliche Aktion in Sachsen schauen). Dabei könnte man argumentieren, dass es große (innen- wie außenpolitische) Herausforderungen in der Bundesrepublik gibt, bei denen es darum gehen könnte und sollte, mit welchen Rezepten die politischen Parteien darauf reagieren wollen – gerade in einem Wahljahr, in dem die amtierende Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel nicht erneut antritt und es auf jeden Fall zu einem Wechsel in diesem Amte (und vermutlich auch bei der Koalitionskonstellation) kommen wird.
