Neuerscheinung: „Die Neuen“
Am 2. November 2022 erscheint im Münchner C. H. Beck Verlag das Buch „Die Neuen. Eine Generation will an die Macht“ von Livia Gerster. Darin blickt die Autorin, die als Politikredakteurin bei der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Sonntagszeitung tätig ist, auf eine neue Generation von Abgeordneten im Deutschen Bundestag (und darüber hinaus) und fragt, ob und inwieweit diese neue Generation Politik in Deutschland verändert bzw. verändern kann (ein ähnliches Buch zum Thema hat vor einigen Monaten Anna Sauerbrey mit „Machtwechsel“ vorgelegt – wir berichteten).
In der Beschreibung des Verlages heißt es: „Bei der letzten Wahl sind so viele junge Abgeordnete wie nie zuvor in den Bundestag eingezogen. Dass ihre Aufgabe die Klimawende sein wird, das wussten sie. Auch auf Auseinandersetzungen mit Rechtsradikalen und Querdenkern waren sie vorbereitet. Aber dass sie es mit einem Krieg zu tun bekommen würden und mit dessen Folgen, davon ahnten sie nichts. Schnell müssen die Neuen schwerwiegende Richtungsentscheidungen treffen. Aber ihre Ideale wollen sie nicht aufgeben. Wird ihnen dieser Spagat gelingen? Oder werden sie im Kampf mit der älteren Generation der Babyboomer selbst zu den angepassten Funktionären, die sie nie werden wollten? „
