Neuerscheinungen zur US-Politik
In den vergangenen Wochen sind gleich zwei aktuelle Bücher zur US-amerikanischen Politik erschienen. Annika Brockschmidt thematisiert in „Die Brandstifter“ die Transformation der Republikanischen Partei unter dem Einfluss rechtspopulistischer bzw. teilweise rechtsextremer Gruppierungen und präsentiert damit eine Parteigeschichte der vergangenen siebzig Jahre, Arthur Landwehr legt in „Die zerrissenen Staaten von Amerika“ sein Augenmerk auf die aktuelle parteipolitische Polarisierung und fragt nach deren Konsequenzen für Politik und Gesellschaft. In einer Doppelrezension werden beide Bücher in der heutigen Ausgabe der Süddeutschen Zeitung besprochen. Nachzulesen ist die Rezension bei Interesse hier. Das Buch von Brockschmidt wird für unsere Bibliothek zeitnah beschafft, das Buch von Landwehr ist in unserer Fachbereichsbibliothek bereits im Bestand.
