Neu erschienen: die Erinnerungen von Wolfgang Schäuble
Die Ämter des Bundeskanzlers und des Bundespräsidenten hatte Wolfgang Schäuble nicht inne, nahezu alle anderen politischen Spitzenämter hat er jedoch ausgeübt: Innen- und Finanzminister, Kanzleramtsminister, Fraktionsvorsitzender und einiges mehr. Zudem war er seit 1972 und bis zu seinem Tod im Dezember 2023 Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages – eine Zeitspanne, die wohl nie wieder erreicht werden wird. Am heutigen Tag erscheinen die umfangreichen Erinnerungen von Schäuble: auf knapp 700 Seiten berichtet er über die diversen Stationen in der Politik, aber auch über seinen Umgang mit seiner Behinderung, nachdem er im Bundestagswahlkampf 1990 angeschossen worden war.
Auf N-TV findet sich eine Besprechung des Buches. Auch die Süddeutsche Zeitung blickt in einem längeren Artikel auf das Buch (leider hinter einer Paywall, aber über unsere Universitätsbibliothek besteht kostenloser Zugang zum SZ-Archiv).
