Neuerscheinung: „Defekte Debatten“
Unter dem Titel „Defekte Debatten“ haben die Berliner Politikwissenschaftlerin Julia Reuschenbach und der Deutschlandfunk-Moderator Korbinian Frenzel vor wenigen Tagen ein kurzweiliges, vielschichtiges und lesenswertes Buch veröffentlicht, das sich mit aktuellen Fragen der politischen Partizipation bzw. der Debattenkultur in der Bundesrepublik befasst.
Ausgehend vom Begriff der „Polykrise“ (Adam Tooze), Krisen also, die nicht nur zeitlich zusammenfallen, sondern sich auch gegenseitig beeinflussen und ggfs. auch verstärken können, formulieren die beiden die folgenden zentralen Fragen des Buches: „Wie verhandeln wir gesellschaftliche und politische Fragen, wen permanent Ausnahmezustand herrscht? Wie funktioniert gesellschaftlicher Diskurs, wenn die Hauptaufgabe der Politik Krisenmanagement ist, also ben häufig Ad-hoc-Politik, die eigentlich keine langwierigen Debatten und das vorsichtige Wiegen von Für und Wider zulassen?“ (S. 15). Offensichtlich haben wir „die nötigen Verschnaufpausen zwischen den Krisen, um diese Fragen ernsthaft zu diskutieren, geschweige denn sie zu beantworten“ (ebd.), nicht (mehr).
