Zur demografischen Entwicklung Sachsen-Anhalts
In den Jahren seit der Wende haben viele Menschen Sachsen-Anhalt verlassen und sind vornehmlich in die alten Bundesländer gezogen. Auf der anderen Seite sind zahlreiche Menschen nach Sachsen-Anhalt gekommen, insbesondere viele Studierende. Der Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk (MDR) hat in einer umfassenden Analyse die einschlägigen Daten aus den Jahren 1991 bis 2017 ausgewertet und grafisch eindrucksvoll dargestellt. Fun fact: aus Halle (Saale) sind die meisten Abwanderer, nämlich über 3000, in die Region Hannover gezogen, zugezogen sind die meisten Neu-Hallenser aus Göttingen (etwas über 2800 Menschen).
