Ringvorlesung: „Europa – was bewegt Dich?“
Ganz herzlich möchte ich Sie zur Ringvorlesung „Europa – was bewegt Dich?“ am Mittwoch, den 7. Juli 2010, einladen. Bereits das ganze Semester über referieren Dozenten zu unterschiedlichsten Themen der europäischen Integration. Thema des Vortrags dieser Woche ist „Obamas Wahlsieg 2008 – und was wir in Europa (nicht) davon lernen können“.
Organisiert wird die Veranstaltungsreihe vom studentischen Verein CultureConAction. Die Veranstaltung findet von 18-20h in HS Z/Mel statt. Gegen Ende der Vorlesungsreihe wollen wir am 7. Juli anhand von Barack Obama den Blick über den europäischen Tellerrand hinaus richten.
Vom Wahlsieg Barack Obamas im November 2008 heißt es oft, dies sei der erste richtige Internetwahlkampf gewesen. Ob dies wirklich der Fall war und ob dieser Wahlkampf vielleicht auf Europa und speziell die Bundesrepublik Deutschland übertragen werden kann, wollen wir am Mittwoch anhand von vielen konkreten Beispielen und in einer gemeinsamen Diskussion erörtern. Dabei wird sich der Blick auch auf die Möglichkeiten politischer Mobilisierung richten, was nicht zuletzt auch für europäische Politik von Bedeutung sein kann.
Nach der Ringvorlesung gibt es für alle Interessierten sicher die Möglichkeit, gemeinsam beim Public Viewing das Halbfinale der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft zu schauen.;)
