Barack Obama hat im Wahlkampf 2008 vorgemacht, wie effektiv man neue Medien wie das Internet und Instrumente wie Facebook und Twitter in den Wahlkampf und die Politik einbauen kann. Dass die Politiker in der Bundesrepublik mit einigen Ausnahmen diesen Trends hinterherlaufen, ist nicht überraschend. Aber wie wenig diese Möglichkeiten genutzt werden, ist schon verblüffend. Die Technische Hochschule Illmenau hat in diesen Tagen eine Studie zum Thema vorgestellt, in der genauer untersucht wurde, wie Bundes- und Landtagsmitglieder Facebook nutzen.
