Neues APuZ-Heft zum Thema „Datenökonomie“ erschienen
Soeben ist die neue Ausgabe der von der Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (BpB) herausgegebenen Zeitschrift „Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte“ unter dem Titel „Datenökonomie“ erschienen. Auf der Seite des Heftes im Internet heißt es einführend: „Digitale Dienste erleichtern uns in vielerlei Hinsicht das tägliche Leben; sie sind zu einer Art Infrastruktur geworden. Tatsächlich zahlen wir viele dieser Annehmlichkeiten mit unseren persönlichen Daten, die Unternehmen höchst profitabel auszunutzen wissen. Angesichts dessen stellt sich die Frage, wem welche Daten „gehören“ (sollten) – und ob Daten als immaterielle und unendlich vervielfältigbare Güter überhaupt eigentumsfähig sind. Neben ökonomischen Aspekten gewinnen Fragen nach dem persönlichen Datenschutz, nach der Wahrung der Privatsphäre und letztlich der individuellen Selbstbestimmung an Dringlichkeit, zumal sich Datensammlungen auch politisch instrumentalisieren lassen.“ Im Volltext ist das Heft hier abrufbar.
