TV-Tipp: Bilanz der Treuhandanstalt
Bis heute hat diese damals neuartige Organisation einen äußerst schlechten Ruf, wird sie doch häufig verantwortlich gemacht für den Verlust von abertausenden Arbeitsplätzen in den neuen Bundesländern: die Treuhandanstalt, die von 1990 bis 1994 als – politikwissenschaftlich gesprochen – neuartige Form der Governance dafür verantwortlich war, die volkseigenen Betriebe der DDR nach dem Fall der Mauer zu sanieren und zu verkaufen bzw. zu privatisieren. Ging man ursprünglich davon aus, dass das Finanzministerium mit einem Milliardenbetrag an Einnahmen aus der Arbeit der Treuhandanstalt rechnen konnte, musste am Ende sogar ein dreistelliger Millionenbetrag draufgezahlt werden.
