Politische Architektur: die „ironisch-monumentale Republik“
Zwanzig Jahre ist es inzwischen her, dass das Bundeskanzleramt im Berliner Spreebogen eingeweiht wurde. Mit dem Umzug von Parlament und Regierung von Bonn nach Berlin bot sich die Chance, die spezifische politische Architektur der neuen „Berliner Republik“ zu entwerfen. In einem Beitrag für den Berliner Tagesspiegel macht sich Pepe Egger einige Gedanken zu diesem Thema und lässt dabei auch den Architekturhistoriker Christian Freigang sowie den Historiker Paul Nolte zu Wort kommen.
