Zum Thema „Diversity“ in Parteien
Die Forderung nach mehr „Diversity“, also nach einer möglichst breiten Repräsentation unterschiedlicher Bevölkerungsgruppen in Parteien, zählt zu den zentralen Themen der aktuellen politikwissenschaftlichen Parteienforschung. Neben diesbezüglichen inhaltlichen Forderungen verbindet sich damit der Blick auf die tatsächliche Struktur von Parteimitgliedschaften. Eileen Böhringer und Benjamin Höhne vom Institut für Parlamentarismusforschung (IParl) haben das Thema in einem Aufsatz für das PW-Portal aufgegriffen und stellen breite empirische Befunde zu diesem Untersuchungsgegenstand vor. Dabei weisen sie darauf hin, dass mangelnde Vielfalt der Parteien bei der Wahrnehmung ihrer gesellschaftlichen und politischen Aufgaben beeinträchtigen kann; sie blicken darüber hinaus auf das Problembewusstsein der Parteien hierfür und diskutieren deren Initiativen zur Diversifizierung ihrer Mitgliedschaft.
