„Schwarze Erde“ von Jens Mühling: eine Reise durch die Ukraine
Der Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine beherrscht derzeit auf vielerlei Ebenen die aktuelle Medienberichterstattung. An dieser Stelle sei lediglich ein Buch empfohlen, das die Ukraine selbst in den Blick nimmt: „Schwarze Erde“ von Jens Mühling. Vor einigen Jahren ist der Berliner Autor und frühere Tagesspiegel-Redakteur Mühling quer durch die Ukraine gereist. Von den polnischen Grenzgebieten im äußersten Westen zu den Gebirgszügen der Karpaten, von der südlichen Schwarzmeerküste in die zentral-ukrainischen Steppengebiete sowie von den Ufern des Dnjepr zur östlichen Donbass-Region spricht Mühling mit Passanten, Unterwegsbekanntschaften und Zeitzeugen. Auf diese Art und Weise wird die vielschichtige Vergangenheit und Gegenheit der Ukraine lebendig. In der Süddeutschen Zeitung findet sich hier eine Rezension von Mühlings Reisebericht.
