Ausstellung: „Angela Merkel Portraits“
Spätestens seit dem Projekt „Spuren der Macht“, in dem sie politische Akteure wie Angela Merkel, Gerhard Schröder oder Joschka Fischer über mehrere Jahre hinweg fotografisch begleitete, gilt Herlinde Koelbl als eine der eindrucksvollsten Fotokünstlerinnen der Republik. Im Deutschen Historischen Museum (DHM) in Berlin ist nun eine Ausstellung mit Porträts Angela Merkels aus den Jahren 1991 bis 2021 zu sehen. Auf der Seite des DHM heißt es: „Die regelmäßigen Portraitsitzungen dokumentieren die Entwicklung der jungen, unerfahrenen Politikerin zur Kanzlerin und schließlich zum ‚Global Leader‘. Entstanden sind einzigartige Nahaufnahmen, die die extreme physische und psychische Verwandlung einer Politikerin einfangen und zugleich die ungewöhnliche Begegnung zweier Frauen protokollieren.“ Bereits vor einigen Monaten war ein umfangreicher Bildband zum Thema erschienen (mehr hier).
Zu sehen ist die Ausstellung bis zum 4. September 2022. Wer also in den nächsten Wochen und Monaten nach Berlin kommen sollte, dem sei diese Ausstellung ans Herz gelegt.
