Neue APuZ-Ausgabe: „Wissenschaft, Öffentlichkeit, Demokratie“
Nicht erst seit der Corona-Pandemie stehen Fragen des Verhältnisses von Wissenschaft und der Öffentlichkeit bzw. der Demokratie im Mittelpunkt zahlreicher Diskurse. In den vergangenen Jahren haben diese Themen angesichts der Rolle der Wissenschaft bzw. einiger prominenter Vertreter/innen im Zuge der Politikberatung rund um die Pandemie nochmals an Relevanz gewonnen. Die heute neu erschienene Ausgabe der politikwissenschaftlichen Zeitschrift „Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte“ (B26-27/2022) befasst sich in gleich mehreren Beiträgen mit zentralen Aspektes dieses Untersuchungsgegenstandes. So geht es etwa um die Frage, warum demokratische Beteiligung mehr Wissenschaftskompetenz braucht, wie sich das Verhältnis von (Pseudo-)Wissenschaft und Demokratie im Krisenzeitalter gestaltet, wie sich Wissenschaft und Aktivismus zueinander verhalten sowie die Frage, wie der Weg von der Wissenschaftskommunikation zur evidenzbasierten Information aussehen könnte.
