Neuerscheinung: „Wählermärkte“
In seinem neuen Buch „Wählermärkte“ thematisiert der Duisburger Politikwissenschaftler Karl-Rudolf Korte das Wahlverhalten der Deutschen im Kontext der jüngsten Bundestagswahl. Namensgebend ist für ihn der Wochenmarkt. In seiner Einleitung schreibt er: „Wo existieren – vergleichbar dicht – Vielfalt und Auswahl, die Begegnungen möglich machen? Aus dem Miteinander beim Handeln und Sprechen entsteht politische Macht. Sie ist eine Frage der Beziehung, stets relational. Demokratie ist organisierte Freiheit. Auf dem Markt leben wir organisierte und zufällige Praktiken der Einbeziehung des Anderen.“ Ausgehend von grundlegenden Erklärmodellen des Wahlverhaltens beschreibt Korte die diesbezüglichen Entwicklungen der vergangenen Jahre, geht auf die Rolle der Medien ein, erläutert das Zusammenfinden und die Arbeit von Koalitionen diskutiert in diesem Kontext ganz grundlegend das Verhältnis von Bürgerinnen und Bürgern und ihren politischen Repräsentanten und Repräsentantinnen. Das Buch sollte in Kürze in unserer Universitätsbibliothek verfügbar sein. Zentrale Aspekte seines Buches hat Korte kürzlich mit Blick auf die aktuelle politische Situation in Deutschland vor den anstehenden Landtagswahlen im ZDF-Morgenmagazin vorgestellt.
