In der Reihe „Parlamente der Welt“ fällt der Blick heute auf das Gebäude des Landtags von Sachsen-Anhalt am Magdeburger Domplatz. Seit dem 17. Januar 1991 hat der Landtag hier – direkt gegenüber dem über 800 Jahre alten Dom „St. Mauritius und St. Katharina“. Errichtet wurde das Gebäude, da saus drei Teilen besteht, in den Jahren 1724 bis 1728 unter anderem für den Weinhändler Christian Wunenburg und den Maurermeister Hans Georg Reinecke. Umgestaltet wurde der Komplex nach dem Krieg von 1954 bis 1956.
Links hinten im Bild ist das Hundertwasser-Haus („Grüne Zitadelle“) sowie rechts hinten das Kunstmuseum Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen zu sehen.
