Neuerscheinung: „Ein deutscher Kanzler“ von Daniel Brössler
Der Journalist Daniel Brössler berichtet seit geraumer Zeit für die Süddeutsche Zeitung über das Kanzleramt und Kanzler Olaf Scholz. Von daher ist er bestens geeignet, in einem neuem Buch mit dem Titel „Ein deutscher Kanzler. Olaf Scholz, der Krieg und die Angst“ über die bisherige Amtszeit von Scholz zu schreiben. Dabei stützt er sich auf zahlreiche Gespräche nicht nur mit dem Kanzler selbst, sondern auch mit vielen Mitarbeitern, Weggefährten und politischen Beobachtern. Zudem schlägt er den Bogen von den Ereignissen seit der Bundestagswahl im September 2021 (mit besonderem Schwerpunkt des russischen Angriffskrieges gegen die Ukraine) zu früheren biografischen Stationen in Scholz‘ Vita, etwa zu seinen Studien- und Juso-Zeiten. Entstanden ist auf diese Weise ein Porträt, das die komplexen Entscheidungsprozesse vor und hinter den politischen Kulissen transparent werden lässt und anhand vieler konkreter Beispiele deutlich macht, wie in der Bundesregierung, aber auch im Deutschen Bundestag komplexe Entscheidungen rund um Krieg und Frieden getroffen werden.
