Podcast: Politik in TV-Serien
The West Wing, House of Cards, Borgen oder Eichwald: diese Serien haben in den vergangenen Jahren politische Akteure in den Fokus genommen. In unseren Lehrveranstaltungen greifen wir diese Serien (wie auch Filme und literarische Werke) immer wieder auf, weil sich damit spannende Fragen verbinden lassen: werden auf diesem Wege realistische Bilder von Politik transportiert? Können über diese Formate wichtige Inhalte politischer Bildung vermittelt werden? Ist Politik überhaupt fiktionalisierbar – oder ist Politik (aus guten Gründen!) zu langweilig für eine Serie? Denn dort geht es eher um langwierige Prozesse, um Verhandlungen und eine komplexe Kompromisssuche – und das häufig hinter verschlossenen Türen; Cliffhanger sind dabei selten.
In der aktuellen Folge des „Zwischenrufs“, dem Podcast des Berliner Instituts für Parlamentarismusforschung (IPARL) sprechen Niko Switek, der zu diesem Thema bereits einen Sammelband veröffentlicht hat, und Stefan Stuckmann, der selbst für die heute-show und die Serie Eichwald gearbeitet hat, über Ziele, Inhalte und besondere Bestimmungsfaktoten von Politserien.
