Rocco Buttiglione zu Gast im Seminar
Er war Abgeordneter und Vizepräsident des italienischen Parlaments, Kulturminister der italienischen Regierung unter Silvio Berlusconi, Mitglied des Europäischen Parlaments, Professor der Rechtswissenschaft mit einer Abschlussarbeit über die Geschichte politischer Doktrinen – und am 11. Mai 2021 auf studentische Initiative hin zu Gast im Aufbaumodul Systemanalyse und Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft, genauer: im Seminar rund um die politikwissenschaftliche Transformationsforschung. Eingeladen war er aber weniger wegen seiner politischen Funktionen, sondern aufgrund einer anderen Eigenschaft: er war persönlich mit Papst Johannes Paul II. befreundet, hat in unterschiedlichen Kapazitäten im Vatikan gewirkt und hat auch ein Buch über den Papst veröffentlicht. Im Seminar berichtete er insbesondere über die Rolle der katholischen Kirche und dea (polnischen) Papstes im Transformationsprozess in Polen in den 1980er Jahren. Am Ende kamen auch die aktuelle politische Entwicklung in Polen sowie zeitgenössische Fragen europäischer Politik zur Sprache.
