TV-Tipp: „Bautzen“
In einer zehnteiligen Serie auf ARTE versuchen mehrere Journalisten des Senders, die aktuelle Situation der ostsächsischen Stadt Bautzen einschließlich ihrer Chancen und Herausforderungen zu beschreiben. Immer wieder war die Stadt in den vergangenen Jahren in den Schlagzeilen: Angriffe auf Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund, Wahlerfolge der AfD, aber auch Gegendemonstrationen und ein breiter Aufbruch zivilgesellschaftlicher Gruppierungen. Zeitraum der Beobachtung sind die Monate zwischen dem Frühjahr 2019 und der sächsischen Landtagswahl im September desselben Jahrens. Dabei werden Menschen unterschiedlicher politischer Ansichten in ihrem Alltag begleitet und ihr Engagement beleuchtet – ohne jeden Kommentar, darunter eine alleinerziehende Mutter und eine AfD-Wählerin, einen Abiturienten und eine Sozialarbeiterin sowie einen Stadtführer und eine syrische Flüchtlingsfamilie. Die Macher der Reihe sehen die Stadt als exemplarisch für sozial-politische Konflikte in vielen ländlichen Gegenden Europas, in denen Populismus und eine fehlende Debattenkultur zur Spaltung geführt haben.
