Neu erschienen: Sonderheft des „Leviathan“ zur gespaltenen Gesellschaft
Kürzlich ist das diesjährige Sonderheft der geisteswissenschaftlichen Zeitschrift „Leviathan“ erschienen. In nahezu allen Beiträgen geht es darin um die „gespaltene Gesellschaft“. Zunächst setzen sich Nils Kumkar und Uwe Schimank unter Rückgriff auf Ergebnisse eines empirischen Forschungsprojektes mit den Thesen des Soziologen Andreas Reckwitz zur „Spätmoderne“ und insbesondere dessen Verortung der Mittelschicht im Rahmen einer Drei-Klassen-Gesellschaft auseinander (worauf Reckwitz wiederum im gleichen Heft antwortet). Mehrere Beiträge befassen sich mit der aktuellen Corona-Pandemie. Besonders hervorzuheben ist dabei der Artikel von Alexander Bogner und Wolfgang Menz zum Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Politik in besagter Corona-Krise.
