Neuerscheinung: „Triggerpunkte“
Oft war zuletzt sowohl öffentlich als auch im wissenschaftlichen Diskurs von einer gesellschaftlichen und/oder politischen Spaltung oder Polarisierung die Rede. Der Berliner Soziologe Steffen Mau (Humboldt-Universität), von dem wir hier auf diesen Seiten (zum Beispiel hier und hier) schon mehrfach Publikationen vorgestellt haben, hat zusammen mit Thomas Lux und Linus Westheuser eine Studie verfasst, die genau diese Polarisierung thematisiert. Ihr zentraler Befund: Bei vielen großen Fragen herrscht einigermaßen Konsens. Werden jedoch bestimmte Triggerpunkte berührt, verschärft sich schlagartig die Debatte.
Das Buch erscheint in wenigen Tagen (hier gibt es weitere Informationen sowie eine Leseprobe), am Mittwoch Abend wird das Buch (sollte jemand in der Gegend sein) in der Berliner Urania der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt.
