Pünktlich zum ersten Jahrestag der Amtseinführung von Barack Obama als amerikanischer Präsident präsentiert die aktuelle Ausgabe der „Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte“ (Heft 4/2010 vom 25. Januar 2010) eine politikwissenschaftlich orientierte Bilanz des ersten Amtsjahrs.
So schreibt – neben anderen Autoren – der frühere ZEIT-Journalist Thomas Kleine-Brockhoff über Obama als „ganz normalen Präsidenten“, James Pfiffner beleuchtet Obamas Präsidentschaft zwischen „Kontinuität und Wandel“ und Daniel Hamilton widmet sich dem Thema „Obama und Europa“.
