Karamba Diaby MdB zu Gast am Institut für Politikwissenschaft der MLU
Am 22. Januar 2020 war der Bundestagsabgeordnete Dr. Karamba Diaby (SPD) zu Gast im Seminar „70 Jahre Grundgesetz“. Zwar war der Besuch bereits vor Monaten geplant worden, aber durch die Attacke auf das Bürgerbüro von Herrn Diaby in der vergangenen Woche erhielt der Besuch eine besondere Aktualität. Herr Diaby berichtete zunächst von seinem Weg aus dem Senegal nach Halle (Saale), wo er in der 1980er Jahren an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) ein Studium der Chemie aufnahm. Zugleich beschrieb er seinen Weg in die Politik, in der er sich im Halleschen Stadtrat sowie in gemeinnützigen Organisationen im Bereich Bildung engagierte. Im Jahre 2013 wurde er dann in den Deutschen Bundestag gewählt. Herr Diaby berichtete zudem von seinem Alltag als Abgeordneter zwischen Halle und Berlin, skizzierte den Ablauf einer typischen Sitzungswoche im Parlament und nahm Stellung zu aktuellen politischen Themen.
Bei seinem Besuch wurde Herr Diaby von einem Kamerateam des ZDF begleitet. Der dabei entstandene Bericht, der auch andere Wahlkreistermine von Herrn Diaby umfassen wird, soll aller Voraussicht nach am Freitag, den 24. Januar 2020, in der „drehscheibe“ (12:10 bis 13:00 Uhr) gezeigt werden.
