Krimi-Tipp VIII: „The Late Show“
Der letzte Tipp in der Homeoffice-bedingten Krimiwoche ist Michael Connellys „The Late Show“. In Connellys Krimis, die inzwischen mehrere Dutzend zählen, steht die konkrete, alltägliche Polizeiarbeit des Los Angeles Police Department im Mittelpunkt. Die meisten Bände drehen sich um Detective Harry Bosch (fun fact: inzwischen sind die Bosch-Krimis mit Titus Welliver in der Hauptrolle verfilmt worden, Staffel sechs dieser überaus gelungenen Verfilmung ist in Deutschland ab dem 17. April 2020 auf Amazon zu sehen). In „Late Show“ führt Connelly eine neue Figur ein: Renée Ballard, die die Nachtschicht arbeitet. In ihrer Arbeit stößt sie auf zwei Fälle, die sich in derselben Nacht ereignen. Und Ballard beginnt auf eigene Faust zu ermitteln.
