Online-Lesung: „This is America“ mit Daniel C. Schmidt
Vieles ist anders in den gegenwärtigen Corona-Zeiten. So können zum Beispiel viele seit langem geplante Veranstaltungen nicht wie geplant stattfinden. Die Alternative: die Veranstaltung in den virtuellen Raum verlegen und per Livestream zu den Interessierten bringen. Genau das macht die Atlantische Akademie Rheinland-Pfalz mit einer Lesung des Autors und Journalisten Daniel C. Schmidt, der kürzlich ein Buch über die aktuelle politische Situation in den Vereinigten Staaten herausgebracht hat (zufällig liegt das Buch seit gestern auf meinem Schreibtisch…). Schmidt lebt seit 2016 in den USA und berichtet von dort unter anderem für die FAZ, ZEIT Online, die NZZ und den SPIEGEL. Die virtuelle Lesung findet statt am Donnerstag, den 23.
