Die ersten Vorwahlen im Rahmen des amerikanischen Präsidentschaftswahlkampfes sind vorüber, bei den Demokraten liegt der frühere Vizepräsident Joe Biden nahezu uneinholbar vorn und wird aller Voraussicht Amtsinhaber Donald Trump von der Republikanischen Partei im November im Kampf um das Weiße Haus herausfordern. Doch plötzlich haben sich aufgrund der Corona-Krise die Rahmenbedingungen nicht nur amerikanischer Politik, sondern insbesondere auch die von Wahlen und Wahlkampf gundlegend verändert.
