Lektüretipp: „Handbuch Politische Rhetorik“ von Armin Burkhardt
Bereits im Jahre 2020 ist im Berliner de Gruyter-Verlag das „Handbuch Politische Rhetorik“ (Herausgeber: Armin Burkhardt) erschienen, das ich aus unerfindlichen Gründen erst jetzt entdecke… In insgesamt 52 Beiträgen wird das Feld der politischen Rhetorik in allen denkbaren Facetten abgehandelt. So geht es zunächst um die Rolle der Rhetorik in unterschiedlichen politischen Systemen (beginnend im alten Griechenland), es stehen unterschiedliche Redeformate im Fokus (Regierungserklärungen, Parlamentsreden, Parteitagsreden, Rücktrittsreden, etc.), der Band blickt aus aktueller Perspektive auf die politische Rhetorik ausgewählter Länder (Frankreich, Österreich, die Schweiz, die Vereinigten Staaten, Russland, Japan und weitere) und schließlich werden unterschiedliche Bereiche der Rhetorik thematisiert, etwa im Werk von Schriftstellern (Shakespeare, Schiller, Büchner, etc.), unterschiedliche Redeelemente oder bezüglich deren Verwendung in der Literatur und der Architektur.
