Wissenschaftspreis des Deutschen Bundestages 2023 verkündet
Soeben wurde bekannt, dass Oliver Haardt für sein Werk „Bismarcks ewiger Bund. Eine neue Geschichte des deutschen Kaiserreichs“ sowie Mechthild Roos für ihr Buch „The Parliamentary Roots of European Social Policy. Turning Talk into Power“ den diesjährigen Wissenschaftspreis des Deutschen Bundestages erhalten haben. Dies hat eine Jury des Parlamentes entschieden, der auch die frühere Professorin für Regierungslehre und Policyforschung an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Frau Prof. Suzanne S. Schüttemeyer, angehört, entschieden hat. Details zum Buch von Haardt gibt es hier, ein Rezension des Werkes von Roos durch unsere Kollegin Jana Windwehr findet sich hier. Die entsprechende Pressemitteilung des Deutschen Bundestages ist hier nachzulesen. Der Preis ist mit insgesamt 10.000 Euro dotiert – ein Betrag, den sich die beiden Preisträger teilen werden. Aller Voraussicht nach am 10. Mai 2023 wird die Bundestagspräsidentin Bärbel Bas die Preisverleihung vornehmen.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said „You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.“ She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
